Its that time of year again, when we are getting ready for Christmas, family and Santa. Sadly not everyone will be looking forward with anticipation, instead simple hoping for food, warmth or a small present. Thankfully there are goups like 'Little Blue Heroes' and 'Barnados' out there. Both help the youngest and most vulnerable in society and this Christmas we ask that you join us in making a donation at https://www.littleblueheroes.org/donate/ or https://www.barnardos.ie/christmas

You will need to carry your passport to work. It is a great initiative, hopefully it will work out and be rolled out among the other areas.

Being rolled out rapid due to European money is the slush fund behind it and with Brexit happening it needs to start asap.

An interesting development but could all come to nothing. Unlikely though, nice to see new avenue of work being developed.

Scope will be to work with GP's and dealing with chronic patients rather than acute illness/injury. Enhanced skill set and with the recent news of potential decrease of GP's in some counties in the future could see them filling a gap of sorts

When the AP started we were on the same money as paramedics and waited on a judgement. Same will go here with the community paramedic and after a period the union will look for a judgement for appropriate pay.
