So "the assault was not prolonged & no weapon was used" & its a suspended sentence! Has the judiciary heard of the "one punch phenomenon" this member was twice put to the ground with force on second occasion knocking her unconscious! What message is being sent?

I was in court yesterday and for every thing being heard, the Judge asked if the defendant needed free legal aid. One guy pleaded guilty, said he didnt need a solicitor, the judge basically told him to change his mind.
He didn't.
It was like the judge was trying to drum up work for his colleagues in the legal profession.
