Some parts of the forum require you to be logged in and verified as a serving emergency services member.
You are encouraged to become verified if you are a serving or former member of the emergency services. Once you become verified you will be able to post in the restricted area.
If you still wish to apply, please provide Admin with your name, occupation, station, start date and work / registered number via E-mail only. This information will be checked discreetly and privately. For former emergency services staff it will also be a requirement that you retired or resigned in good standing having completed a reasonable period of service. Current trainees will be required to provide additional information on completing their training. Failure to prove you have succeeded in your training will result in verification being removed.
Please don’t ask about the verification process prior to applying as the process will not be explained to anyone who has not supplied the correct information or to non emergency services personnel.
Emergency Services Staff blogs
We are always looking for new stories for the blog section. If you wish to become one of our bloggers or even just add a single story, please contact us. Rest assured we do not include identifiable information and all personal details are not retained.
By clicking on the ‘Site supporter’ icon you will be directed to our Site support page. Payments are made through a Paypal account where a fee of €20 per year or €50 for 5 years is deducted automatically. Please note that this will repeat unless cancelled.
The idea is not to obtain bragging rights but to help support the site as it grows. It should be noted that this is completely optional and is in no way a prerequisite to joining and using the forum.
Site security features
Our user details and privacy are taken seriously at ESF and thats why in addition to the standard safety measures we have added additional checks. For starters we have dedicated servers which are not shared with other websites and also our own dedicated IP address. We have also taken the step of adding encryption to the site utilising sitelock systems which actively protects our systems from malware and hacking. In regards the verification system, please be assured that no identifying information is retained beyond service and joined year.
If you encounter a bug or issue with your account or the site itself please first look in the Support forum which may contain an answer. Failing that please then post a comment if you can, with a detailed explanation of the issue. Finally if all else fails please email the admin direct and wait for a reply. Most problems are usually caused by some minor error and are easily corrected
