Its that time of year again, when we are getting ready for Christmas, family and Santa. Sadly not everyone will be looking forward with anticipation, instead simple hoping for food, warmth or a small present. Thankfully there are goups like 'Little Blue Heroes' and 'Barnados' out there. Both help the youngest and most vulnerable in society and this Christmas we ask that you join us in making a donation at https://www.littleblueheroes.org/donate/ or https://www.barnardos.ie/christmas

Transfer

Lads I'm looking for a bit of info. Between work, study and travel I'm finding it very hard to put in my hours. So I'm going to request a transfer to a station that's closer to me as I am now living in Dublin. Can other reserves or full time lads recommend a good station in the capital that I could move to? PM me might be better. Thanks

As little as possible sure I'm not getting paid!

Ha ah no I'm kidding, I want to be busy from the start of shift till finish. I like being out on the beat. A station that involves the reserves fully ideally.

Probably Store St or Pearse St would be the best in the city center.

They were the two I was thinking of as well as the Bridewell.

It if you wanted to be used to police major events you could go to Mountjoy or Irishtown

Sounds good, I park the bike outside there sometimes. How's it for car parking? I see a lot of cars being pushed and pulled around....

there are also some busy stations outside of the city center, the likes of coolock, blanchardstown, ballymun etc that might be easier getting to and still be busy
Those who can, do.

Parking sucks handbrakes are left off on cars that are parked across the cars reversed into spaces, it's no real biggie until the changeover of units getting out is usually worse than getting a spot
