Garda Building and Refurbishment Programme 2016 - 2021

http://www.thejournal.ie/garda-stations-...3-Oct2015/

This was announced during the week but didn't get much media attention.

The announcement included the plans for 5 brand new stations:

Macroom, Co Cork
Glanmire, Co Cork
Clonmel, Co Tipperary
Sligo Town
Bailieborough, Co Cavan.

There's also a long list of stations for refurbishment works.

What's the average time from announcement of a new station to it actually opening? I think the Regional HQ for Galway in Renmore must be a record waiting time. I remember seeing the sign for the site around 10 years ago? Kevin St in Dublin must be waiting around the same length of time too.

What's an INAD?

Silly me. An INAD is an inadmissible person, basically somebody who has been refused

When ye get one do ye currently pass them straight on to gardaí?

Once we've refused them entry, GNIB are called and they take them to a Garda station until their return flight
